Transport to Croatia

Plitvice Lakes National Park has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979. A system of 16 interconnected lakes and numerous waterfalls stretches through a forested valley. From Zagreb to Plitvice is about 2 hours.

Rovinj is one of the most photogenic towns on the Adriatic, with narrow cobblestone streets and the church of St. Euphemia on top of the hill. Pula is known for its 1st-century Roman amphitheatre, one of the best preserved in the world. From Zagreb to Rovinj is about 2.5 hours.

Dubrovnik is a city surrounded by powerful walls from the 13th and 14th centuries, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The Old Town with its marble Stradun, churches and palaces is one of the best-preserved examples of Gothic-Renaissance architecture in Europe.

Split is home to Diocletian's Palace from the 4th century, within whose walls people still live today. Trogir, 27 km away, is another UNESCO site with an excellently preserved Romanesque-Gothic core. From Zagreb to Split is about 4 to 4.5 hours.

Zagorje is a region northwest of Zagreb known for Trakošćan Castle, which is reflected in the lake, the thermal spas of Krapinske and Stubičke Toplice, and the birthplace of Josip Broz Tito in Kumrovec. From Zagreb to Trakošćan is about 1.5 hours.

Osijek is the largest city of Slavonia, known for the 18th-century Tvrđa fortress and the promenade along the Drava river. Đakovo is known for Bishop Strossmayer's cathedral and the Lipizzaner horse stud farm. From Zagreb to Osijek is about 2.5 hours.
